Cute Date Ideas in Miami

Updated: Sep 29

Planning a good date should be a competitive sport at this point. From choosing a good place, to a show stopping outfit, arranging the perfect night can feel like training for the Olympics. But fear no more, although I am currently very single, I have been on a handful of dates and I’m here to help you.

Keep in Mind:

It’s important to consider the other person's interests. If your significant other enjoys music, art, shopping, or a spontaneous good time, you’re in the right place.

1. Date #1: Visit a Nice Museum

My favorite date destination is a good museum. It’s super calm and gives you a chance to enjoy your partner's company while simultaneously making you feel like a brainiac. Living in Miami, my top preference is the Perez Art Museum (PAMM for short). It hosts some of the most beautiful contemporary pieces and is located in the heart of Biscayne Boulevard. They have some permanent collections and the rest are changed every couple of months. The ambiance is unmatched and you could spend hours exploring and appreciating the work of different artists from diverse backgrounds. In addition, if you’re feeling a bit hungry, the museum has its very own cafe called “Verde”, perfect to enjoy a phenomenal meal and view of the Biscayne Bay.

2. Date #2: Explore New Genres of Music

The next destination is for my music junkies. I personally could not survive without music and in order to feed my very healthy obsession, I visit the 1-800 Lucky Records store frequently located in Wynwood, Florida. The store itself is small but it has several restaurants which include sushi, ice cream, a bar, and more.  Even if you do not own a record player, I would still recommend this spot, because it’s super cool and they have great restaurant choices right next door, filling your appetite for music and food.

3. Date #3: Make the World Your Canvas

Since we’re already in Wynwood, let's plan the next date. This one is a bit more hands on and I would 100% recommend it if you're into spur-of-the-moment fun. There’s a sick spray paint shop not too far from 1-800 Lucky Records called Montana Colors. The store has a variety of spray paints and they're relatively cheap. I bought a few different colors/stencils and went to make masterpieces outside. Please make sure to ask before spray painting just anywhere, sidewalks are usually a safe bet.

4. Date #4: Cute Day at the Beach

Lastly, nothing beats a good beach date. Whether you go for the sunrise, sunset, or anything in between, the beach will always be a top tier choice. I love going when the sun is about to set with snacks and a speaker to enjoy. Just don’t forget to bring your sunscreen or your water!
